We are a community-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the revitalization of our city’s downtown core utilizing the Main Street ApproachⓇ, a nationwide, time-tested framework for community-driven, comprehensive revitalization.

Our Why

Mission Statement

The DBA’s mission is to foster diversity and connections through community partnerships, advocacy, and engagement to revitalize and enrich our downtown core.

Vision Statement

The DBA envisions Historic Downtown Bremerton as the city’s vibrant waterfront community that encourages connection of people, place, and culture.

The Main Street Approach ®

The Main Street Approach® is a unique preservation-based economic development tool that enables communities to revitalize downtown and neighborhood business districts by leveraging local assets – from historic, cultural, and architectural resources to local enterprises and community pride. As a Main Street affiliate, the Main Street Four Points - Outreach, Promotions, Design, and Economic Vitality - guide the work of the Downtown Bremerton Association.

our Team

Jessica Combs | Executive Director

Jessica Combs brings a wealth of experience in marketing and community engagement to her role as Executive Director of the Downtown Bremerton Association. Previously, she served as the Marketing and Communications Director at the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce and as the Director of Marketing at McBride Cohen, a multi-billion-dollar real estate development company specializing in mixed-use properties, including notable projects like Point Ruston.

Jessica excels at curating thoughtful programming and content designed to drive tourism and enhance community engagement. She is passionate about bringing communities together, championing the city of Bremerton with a vision for vibrant and inclusive development. 

Outside of her work at the Downtown Bremerton Association, she is a music enthusiast, avid cyclist, and mother. She also founded the Ms.Fit Mountain Bike Brigade, a pioneering non-profit that introduced inclusivity to the sport of mountain biking.
