Happy New Year to all our members and supporters! We had a great year with lots of New Members - check out the list to the left. We've already had a new member in 2016.
We had a very sucessful Halloween and Winterfest. We are exploring expanding WinterFest to the Weekend with Friday evening more like a traditional First Friday/ArtWalk and closing streets on Saturday for Horse-Drawn Carriage rides, Santa Coming to Town, Tree Lighting and Pictures with Santa. Also, an idea of lighting an official tree between the Hampton Inn and the Conference Center. Stay tuned or get involved.
Oh, or should I say Ho - the Santa Crawl (SantaCon) was a huge sucess and had great coverage in the Kitsap Sun - top of the front page had this great picture taken by Megan Reid.
Just today I met with Gina Schultz as she is gearing up for the 25th Annual St Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Bremerton. She is looking for volunteers and sponsors to help this silver anniversary be the best event it can be. We are putting together a St. Paddy's Crawl too.
You probably saw in the news that Liberty Bay Books
is planning to stay as well as the announcement that Tim Ryan Construction will be building a new building on First Street to be the home of a new Chung's Teriyaki. The Roxy Theater is now the property of Sound West Group
- they hope to host a GreenDrinks very soon to celebrate the theaters new begining.
Hope to see many of you at Tuesday's meeting.
Thank you to everyone who made 2015 in Downtown Bremerton such a success!
